Is there anything out there that makes a driver look cooler than driving around a brand-spanking new 2016 Camaro? Obviously, there is; driving around a brand-spanking-new Camaro with a roof that folds down.
The newest version of this classic American muscle car will have a convertible model that arrives in early 2016. If that itself isn’t enough to get you excited, Chevy themselves have come out with a few little tidbits that will set this particular convertible apart from everything else in the segment. Some of the features of the new 2016 Camaro Convertible are:
- Fully automatic operation with latches that automatically release and secure the top – Basically we’re thinking that means you can take the top off with the push of a button. Which is nice if you’re one of those people that breaks every mechanical thing you look at.
- Capability of opening and closing roof at 30mph or less – This way, if you get into a drag race with a different convertible and it starts raining, you get a big head start.
- Remote opening with key fob – Maybe the aforementioned race started somewhere out of the car. Chevy has you covered.
- A hard tonneau cover that deploys automatically giving the car a more refined, finished look – You want to look good while beating the other guy in that race right?
The convertible will also be getting either the 3.6L V6 or the 6.2L V8 like the hardtop version which all but ensures that as long as you want to look good and go fast, you really don’t need to look an further.
Here at El Dorado Chevrolet, we couldn’t be more excited.
