2020 Silverado HD High Country: Good Substitute for Luxury Cars

2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD in McKinney, TX

For most of automotive history, the luxury sedan has been the pinnacle of the market. However, now it seems luxury pickup trucks are beginning to take its place. This has never been more evident than with the introduction of the all-new 2020 Silverado HD High Country.

This range-topping model could potentially be the first pickup in history to cross the $100,000 mark, says Sandor Piszar, Chevy truck marketing chief. While the starting price of the High Country model is just over $60,000, available packages can push it into the $90,000 range.*

The Silverado HD High Country is a truck built to impress. It comes standard with an impressive lineup of features like the 6.6-liter V8 engine with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. It also comes standard with four-wheel drive and includes an automatic locking rear differential and an Autotrac® 2-speed transfer case.

Inside, however, is where the High Country really shines. The standard leather-appointed seats are soft and sophisticated. The dual-zone automatic climate control and heated seats in both the front and back will help keep everyone riding in comfort.

Technology features are abundant with a standard navigation system built into the 8-inch touch-screen system. You can also use the standard Advanced Trailering System to keep track of all of your trailers and make sure everything is connected securely.

Silverado HD: The Perfect Truck for Horse Farmers

2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD in McKinney, TX

Here in Texas, we love our trucks, even if we don’t really need one. However, if you are a farmer, a truck is a necessity. If you’re a horse farmer and have been searching for the best truck for your intense work, we highly recommended the all-new Chevrolet Silverado HD.

A few years ago, Farm Journal Media surveyed farmers to find out what vehicle aspects were the most important when making their choices. The results came in with four-wheel drive, durability, engine size, and cab configuration as the top considerations.

Here is what the Silverado HD has to offer.

  • Four-wheel drive — all Silverado HD models are available with four-wheel drive.
  • Durability — the previous generation Silverado HD was recognized has having the best long-term quality in a J.D. Power & Associates survey. We expect this new generation model to be even better.
  • Engine size — the Silverado HD comes with two impressive engines. The standard engine is a 6.6-liter V8 with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. There is also an available Duramax® 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V8 rated at 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque.
  • Cab configuration — you will have plenty of interior space with the impressive Crew Cab configuration on the Silverado HD.
