The North American International Auto Show is our nation’s most important auto show each year. Held in Detroit (and commonly called the Detroit Auto Show) each January, the show is the perfect opportunity for automakers to showcase their newest and upcoming vehicles.
We just wrapped up the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. In case you missed it, these were the pickup trucks on display at NAIAS.
- 2019 Chevrolet Silverado: Let’s start with the most important—the new Silverado, which will be available this year at El Dorado Chevrolet. The 2019 Silverado features the most functional bed of any full-size truck, now with class-leading cargo volume. Chevrolet trimmed up to 450 pounds off the Silverado for improved efficiency and will offer eight different models and six engine/transmission choices, one of which is the new Duramax 3.0-liter inline-six diesel.
- 2019 Ram 1500: The new Ram 1500 was also on display. While it doesn’t compare to the Chevy Silverado, it does have some strong points, like a 225-pound weight reduction and a max payload increase.
- 2019 Ford Ranger: A new entrant to the market is the 2019 Ford Ranger, a mid-size truck that competes with the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. As of yet, it doesn’t seem to offer the same cutting-edge technologies that you get in the Colorado and
