The new Trailblazer, which shares its nameplate with the popular Trailblazer SUV produced from 2001 to 2009, has been the subject of speculation since April 2019, when Chevy announced that a new vehicle with the Trailblazer name was in development.
The announcement of the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer release date was accompanied by our first real look at the features and trims we can expect to see, but we still have very few details about the upcoming small crossover.
We do know that the Trailblazer will feature a special RS trim, with slightly different exterior styling from the other trims and a two-tone roof as part of its focus on customization. Chevy says the Trailblazer will be equipped with a standard active safety package that includes Front Pedestrian Braking and Automatic Emergency Braking.
Though specs have not been released, it’s assumed that the Trailblazer will have the same or similar engine options as the Equinox, and it will almost certainly come with an all-wheel drive option in addition to standard front-wheel drive.
We at El Dorado Chevrolet are excited for the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer to be available. In the meantime, our inventory is filled with incredible vehicles. Stop in for test drive.
Chevy will premiere a new car at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, the 2019 Camaro with a Shock yellow exterior. This color will be showcased on the Camaro SS, a special high-performance model with a set of expanded features. The new SS highlights the latest in Chevy engineering and design.
According to Chevrolet, the Camaro SS design comes with an expanded portfolio of accessories and performance parts, including a black-wing spoiler, a carbon-fiber insert, black badging, cold-air induction, and RECARO® performance seats. There are also Brembo® brakes to improve stopping power. Perhaps best of all, the sharp new Shock yellow exterior will make a statement wherever you go.
“There’s a fresh look for the 2019 Camaro, which is restyled, reinvigorated and offers more choices and new technologies,” said Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet Car and Crossover Marketing. “It’s the perfect canvas for personalization, and the new Shock color and available accessories demonstrate only some of the possibilities customers have to make the Camaro entirely theirs.”
What are some other highlights on the Camaro besides the new color? There’s an all-new Turbo 1LE model to add to the performance lineup, new wheels, upgraded infotainment, and a new available Forward Collision Alert system.
Now that 2018 is here, you have the opportunity to make some changes in your life. While you might be considering living healthier or saving money, we have a few car safe resolutions for you to consider.
Never use your phone behind the wheel. Every year, thousands of people die in accidents related to cell phone use. Make sure you are not the cause of one of these accidents by resolving to keep your phone away while you drive.
Make safety a priority. If you have plans for a new car this year, put safety features at the top of your priority list. Perhaps even spend a bit more to get advanced active features.
Use proper car seats. If you have young children, make sure they are using a car seat that is appropriate for their age and size. Children 12 and under need to be in the back seat. And, children should be in a booster seat until they are at least 4-foot 9-inches tall.
Always use seat belts. While seat belt usage is more universal than ever, there are still deaths that could be avoided simply by buckling up. Make sure you and all your passengers are secure before you start driving.

It’s the age-old question: should I buy a new car or a used one? Both are viable options, and El Dorado Chevy has great vehicles in both categories. We’ll show you the short version of deciding to buy a new vs. used vehicle.
Lots of people choose to buy new cars because of the peace of mind that comes with them. New cars come with warranties that will protect your wallet in case of any unexpected problems. New cars will also have the latest in technology and safety features. If you value the security that comes with advanced driver assistance tools, or need to have a Wi-Fi hotspot in your vehicle for work, a new car can deliver. The downside of new cars, of course, is the higher price, but the cost is worth it to many.
The biggest benefit to buying a used car is the money that the shopper will save. Not only does one save on the initial price tag, but that lower price will also mean lower insurance, lower taxes, and lower registration. That used to be the only reason to buy used, but these days cars are made to last, so a used car can be just as reliable as a new one. Find a model that’s recent enough to have the features you want, and you’re looking at a great deal from El Dorado Chevy.
