General Motors is making it easier for military personnel to save money when they purchase a new vehicle. The American carmaker recently announced that it will be extending its military discount.
The General Motors Military Discount now allows military members to take advantage of the discount for up to three years after discharge. This means they can potentially save thousands of dollars on a new vehicle. Previously, this discount was only available up to one year after discharge.
“Supporting service members and their families is truly part of our fabric at GM,” said Steve Hill, vice president of U.S. Sales, Service, and Marketing. “Extending the discount to three years post-service allows military families to settle back into civilian life and take the time they need before purchasing a new vehicle.”
This discount is available for all active duty, reserve, and retired members of all U.S. military branches, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and National Guard. It applies to all GM brands and is available now on most 2018 GM vehicles, most 2017 vehicles, and the new 2019 models.
You can find a comprehensive list of vehicles that it can apply to here. To use this discount, simply go to the GM Military Discount website, selected the best price available, get an authorization number, and find the nearest participating dealership that has the vehicle you desire.
