hot tech chili cook off

2nd Annual Hot Tech Chili Cook Off in McKinney

Last year, McKinney hosted the 1st Annual Hot Tech Chili Cook Off, which raised money for the WERX Foundation. The organization is a non-profit that provides small businesses and startups with the necessary tools and resources needed to thrive. This year, the cook off is still benefitting the WERX Foundation and has added The Love Life Foundation, which is a non-profit that is dedicated to supporting victims of child abuse and to breaking the cycle within the community.

The 2nd annual event promises to be even bigger and better this year, with twenty teams competing for an array of awards, including: Best All Around, People’s Choice, Hottest Chili, and Most Unique. The event is being sponsored by and held at the TUPPS Brewery (Anderson St) on Saturday, October 15th, with cooking beginning at noon and tasting starting at 5pm. Doors open to the public at 2:30pm.

Not only will there be chili everywhere you go, there’ll be live music provided throughout the day with acts Gander Slu, Maylee Thomas, and George Fuller hitting the stage starting at 3pm. 2017 Camaro ZL1 performance

Leave Other Drivers in Your Dust: 2017 Camaro ZL1 Performance

The 2017 Camaro ZL1 is the most powerful Camaro ever built. This model was designed for the track, with unparalleled performance options and a sleek new design. The 2017 Camaro ZL1 performance sets it apart from most other models on the road, making it stand out on both the track and the highway.

According to Chevy, the ZL1 can do 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. You heard right. It can even do a quarter mile in 11.4 seconds (at 127 mph). This Camaro gets up to 650 horsepower thanks to a supercharged LT4 6.2-liter V8 engine. Compared to the 1LE, the ZL1 is a speed demon.

“Building on Chevrolet’s well-established recipe for track-focused performance, the new 1LE packages expand the performance envelope of the Camaro SS and, for the first time, the Camaro LT,” said Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer. “You’ll be hard-pressed to find more track-capable cars in their respective classes for the money.”

The ZL1 didn’t just add a big engine; this model has some other upgrades. This includes a 220-pound weight reduction, which also increases handling and fuel economy. It gets the SS FE3 suspension with Magnetic Ride dampers, as well as a limited-slip differential. There’s nothing quite like the new ZL1.
