The Chevy Corvette Stingray is completely redesigned for the 2020 model year. The eight-generation Corvette is boldly different from the previous model with an innovative mid-engine design. In fact, only one piece was carried over from the seventh generation. We have now learned that Chevrolet has released the full performance numbers for the new Corvette.
All 2020 Corvette models will be powered by an all-new 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine. The base configuration has an output of 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. With the available Z51 Performance Package, the output is increased to 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. This makes the C8 Corvette, the most powerful production Stingray ever.
With the Z51 Performance Package, the C8 Corvette can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. It can also complete a quarter-mile track run in 11.2 seconds, travelling at 121 mph.
To achieve this high performance, the 2020 Corvette comes with Track mode. With Track mode, you can initiate a “performance launch” by pressing the Track mode button and pressing in the brake and accelerator at the same time. When the car reaches 3,500 rpms, you can release the brake pedal for a thrilling launch experience.

Every year, you can see the best aftermarket and custom vehicles at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Each year, the show organizers hand out awards for the best cars, trucks and SUVs on display. At the 2019 show, the Chevy Silverado earned the title of Truck of the Year.
At the show, Chevrolet pulled out all the stops and showed off an impressive array of custom trucks including a classic 1962 C-10 pickup with an innovative powertrain system with two Bolt EV battery packs for a combined output of 450 horsepower.
As for the Silverado, Chevrolet brought five impressive custom trucks. These included the HD Z71 Sport Concept, the HD Carhartt Edition, the Trail Boss Midnight Edition, the Hall Racing Silverado, and a Redline Concept.
To win the Truck of the Year award, Chevrolet had to show how easy it is to upgrade the Silverado with aftermarket part and accessories. With all the custom trucks on display, it was an easy award to win.
“The SEMA Show is where the newest and most innovative aftermarket products are seen first,” said SEMA vice president Mike Spagnola. “SEMA Show exhibitors are the innovators and experts who drive the $45-billion industry. Knowing what they believe are the best vehicles for accessorization helps to forecast trends.”
